Musician, entrepreneur and emerging fashion icon Emmy Wildwood merges her boldly curated style of glam rock americana and music industry savvy into the launch of Tiger Blanket Records (TBR), a vintage clothing boutique and record label located in the hipster capital of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Located on Graham Avenue in the heart of Williamsburg, Tiger Blanket Records carries a rock ‘n’ roll mash up of men’s and women’s collectable concert t-shirts, leather motorcycle jackets, vintage jeans and beautiful dresses all handpicked by Wildwood. As a teen growing up in Tucson, Arizona, Wildwood started a clothing store, The Hang Up, which she eventually sold to pursue her music career. After moving to Brooklyn in 2008 and starting two bands—including the immediately buzzed about power rock trio VELTA —Wildwood decided to combine her business acumen, strong fashion sense, and love for music into one brand—Tiger Blanket Records.
“How do we put this delicately…Adrianne Gonzalez is a fearless beast of artistic expression. Here’s a woman so unafraid of taking risks – so unafraid to be who she is as a musician, an artist, a feminist, an “out” role model – that it’ll be no surprise to us if Gaga’s “little monsters” grow up and start idolizing her instead.”
This duo continues to impress with their sophomore album “You Are Not Alone”. They are the perfect example of success in the new music business. Click the image to read about the record on Billboard.

I put my thing down flip in and reverse it… and now it’s your turn. I’ve been working on this remix album for literally years, and like any good remix, it has been influenced by many many different people and ideas. We’ll be releasing all the remixes for FREE in mid October, but I need you to put the final piece of the puzzle in place for me and remix the last single, Good Man. I’m an very pleased to be hosting this remix contest in conjunction with an amazing Brooklyn based retailer, ProAudioStar, and my good friends over at Ableton. Please spread the word to anyone you think would be interested in entering : )
HOW IT WORKS
To enter the contest, simply download the stems from ProAudioStar. When your remix is ready, upload it to the dropbox on their site. Once your submission has been processed it will appear on the site in the list of entries. We’ll be accepting submissions from the start of the contest until September 30th at 11:59 EST.
Voting is simple: all you have to do is ‘like’ the track when it appears on the site. That’s it. Every ‘like’ you get counts towards your total so be sure to get your friends and fans involved! Voting will continue until September 30th at 11:59 EST.

A SAMPLING REVOLUTION
My new op/ed piece for Sonicscoop went live today and I’m super excited to share it with you. Sampling is an art form that has not only revolutionized the music industry and the digital technologies that gave birth to it, but also threaten the value of intellectual property and the legal system that is aimlessly trying to protect it. Check out my point of view and also this DOPE interview I did on camera with Keith Shockleeof the Bomb Squad and one of the OG producers of Public Enemy. SPREAD THE WORD!
